The studio is where my work feels most vital—where it reaches its most focused and open state. It’s a space of ongoing exploration: a place to attempt, to question, and to search. Like a drawing or a walk—a walk reminiscent of the slow, deliberate journey in Tarkovsky’s Stalker—each gesture in the studio is part of a process of understanding. This is where the core of my practice lies. Along the way, fragments fall loose—unexpected forms that sometimes develop into more finished works in their own right. I see these splinters as props or elements that shape the world I’m constructing. In a way, the studio is not just where the work happens—it is the work.
